Director Bio

David Schmüdde is a director and composer living in Chicago.

As a filmmaker he has developed a distinct cinematic style that is immediately recognizable in films such as the winding narrative I am Concrete and the Feeling Films-produced Reflections. As a musician he has a standing membership in Chicago's Mira Mira, sings gospel in the Evanston North Shore Community Choir, and was an integral member of the Lucid Dream Ensemble; an electronic music quartet that played in places such as the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art and Seamus in Tempe, Az. For four years he was a dancer/composer/choreographer with the BLAST dance group. He currently holds a faculty position at the Illinois Institute of Art.
